Majorca is one of the Mediterranean's and indeed the world's most popular destinations. It offers a wide variety of tourist facilities and services, and the island receives millions of visitors each year. With such an influx of visitors, it is logical to find many dynamic, vibrant places, although it is not at all difficult to find peace and tranquillity either. There are all kinds of things here!

Sunbathers can find any number of beaches and coves, whilst if you prefer walking, you can choose between mountains and valleys or other flatter areas, all of exceptional beauty and with that special green colour so typical of the Mediterranean. Majorca's ancient history means that it has monuments, historical remains and places that are unique for those with an interest in cultural activities. The sporting opportunities are endless. The island has about twenty golf courses, with five close to Palma and none further than 50 kilometres away.

Along the coast there are many well-known places, like Palma Nova- Magaluf and El Arenal close to Palma, Alcudia and Pollensa in the north, and Cala Ratjada and Cala Millor, amongst others, on the east coast. The west coast is dominated by mountains and silhouettes that sometimes offer impressively dramatic and, above all, incredibly beautiful panoramic views. At the same time, there are also coves and charming beaches like that of Puerto de Sóller. The island's inland area is flat and towards the east there are hills and more undulating landscapes. In Porto Cristo you can find the famous Drach Caves, which offer visitors a unique experience!
